Bob DeBroux
Bob DeBroux began his career as a philosopher around the age of six, wondering what it would be like to have never been born. Thoughts like these led to his degrees in Psychology and Philosophy, but his questions were never answered to his satisfaction. He pursues this type of thinking to this day.
Studying Philosophy was an unsuccessful attempt to avoid the business world, where he eventually ended up, primarily in the telecommunications and Internet development field. He was fortunate to find a company, TDS Telecom, that allowed him to apply his thinking skills to figuring out how to spread reliable and affordable communications services to sparsely populated and costly to serve rural areas. His work within the communication industry contributed greatly to the design of Federal programs that helped link rural areas affordably to the modern communications world.
Bob, a lifelong learner and communicator, now spends time learning from his grandchildren, who teach him honesty, generosity, and kindness along with new and novel ways to play hide and seek. And every now and then he dabbles in self-improvement.
